Hello, my name is Judy, and I would like to share a little about myself. As a licensed psychotherapist and educator in New York, I have experience providing therapy for individuals, couples, and families for over 16 years. I am passionate about helping my clients achieve their goals and find success in their personal and professional lives. In addition to my work as a therapist, I also work with students and parents to help them navigate the college planning, admission, and application process. This can be a stressful and overwhelming time for many families, but with my guidance and expertise, I am confident we can make the process as smooth as possible. COUNSELING FOCUS I specialize in helping individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, PTSD, marital conflict, and divorce, grief/loss, ADD/ADHD & executive functioning issues, learning disabilities, and mental health in the college population and young adults, parenting issues, educational and school issues, and managing work and life stressors. With my extensive background in college counseling, I help students navigate the complicated college admission and application process. College admission can be overwhelming for parents and students alike, but it doesn't have to be stressful. I offer a comprehensive guide, providing step-by-step guidance to help students and parents tackle the process. I offer one-on-one meetings to help students explore majors or career interests, select a balanced list of colleges, and assist with the college essay process. I help students identify their unique strengths, work on their resumes, and practice for college interviews. I will be there to assist you from start to finish. MY APPROACH My approach is engaging and collaborative, providing solution-focused sessions to help you progress toward your goals.
